AI is coming at us fast, and it’s everywhere. As an expert in SEO, Google Ads, and Social Media, I have received an influx of calls inquiring about AI cases and how to demonstrate the impact of content generation on their case.
While the general population is finding artificial intelligence an excellent tool for helping to write content and create images, so are grifters. And they’ve discovered that misusing AI technology is a way to confuse customers and divert money into the wrong pockets.
For example, Artificial Intelligence is more cost-effective than hiring real people to sell products. It’s simple to create a “person” who appeals to a specific demographic. Want to advertise counterfeit luxury goods? Sell them with a Kim Kardashian lookalike and an algorithm targeting potential online buyers. Then personalize the message directly to the user. Scammers aren’t the only ones using AI-generated spokespeople and algorithms to reach customers. Some legitimate marketing departments are also leveraging the benefits of AI marketing. Forbes has an article about the risks of digital marketing in AI.
The reality is that AI can create a life-like fantasy world through images and stories. As an experienced expert witness in AI advertising, lifting the veil to expose the truth is almost second nature to me. Because I’ve watched the evolution of artificial intelligence and seen how it can expertly twist narratives, creating trademark infringement, defamation, IP, and copyright violations. If a lawyer needs me to show a jury how that works, I’m here.
The World of Make Believe is No Match for a Knowledgeable AI Expert Witness!
Over two trillion dollars’ worth of counterfeit products are sold each year, mainly due to the use of AI. The deception is much deeper than selling counterfeit goods; it also extends to services, phishing attacks, deep cloning, and fund transfer scams. If there is a way to separate people from their money, fraudulent AI advertisers will try it. While AI contributes to digital crime, it can also help combat it. CBS News posted an article on how in-house counterfeit crime units worldwide target counterfeit sellers. The AI world is truly living in its Wild West stage as everyone figures it out.
There are positives to AI technology, and I can share those with you as well. However, if you’re seeking an expert witness in AI marketing to discuss a case, you likely want me to expose the “world of make-believe.”
It begins with a discussion about your case. I want to hear about the situation before committing to help. Is it an AI fraud pay-per-click issue? Or related to consumer confusion? What are the social media platforms involved: TikTok, Instagram, Facebook, Pinterest, or YouTube (to name a few)? If I take the case, I’ll get to work on the digital forensics and expose the fraud and misuse of AI. Waking your jury up from the fantasy to the reality. As an expert witness, I keep up-to-date on the emerge issues in marketing, and AI is one of them!
