What is one-on-one Coaching with Jason?

In addition to my course for Stanford Continuing Studies, and books on SEO, Google Ads, and Social Media, I offer “one-on-one” training on a limited basis. I charge $250 / hour for this – with a one hour minimum. You can book as few, or as many, sessions as you want. Use this page to explore how one-on-one training might help you and your team with your digital marketing efforts! When you’re ready, message me, or call 415-655-1071, and I’ll send you the booking link.

One-on-one Training with Jason:

The training works on a “coaching” model. We work together to identify facts, issues, and opportunities to help you. Each session is one hour minimum, and I give you the notes / to-dos of the session plus a video recording. After the session, I am available via email for short follow-up questions, or you can book an additional session.

Deliverables:

First, we agree on an agenda by email. What are we going to cover? We can start at the beginning, the basics of digital marketing, or deep in the weeds (building out a Facebook ads campaign). It’s up to you. Second, we meet online for one hour. We discuss issues and I show you examples. I give you some ‘homework.’ Third, you get the notes and recording of the video session. And fourth, after the session, I am available for short email follow ups. You can book just one session or multiples; no problem. I bill $250 / hour and payment is by PayPal after each session.

Typical Topics of One-on-one Training Sessions:

Here are typical topics covered:

  • Marketing Basics – What are you selling? What is your “business value proposition” and/or “unique selling proposition?” Who wants what you sell – that is, who are your buyer personas? Then, what is the synergy between your brand (“what you sell”) and your buyer personas – who wants “what you sell?” In addition, what are the discovery mechanisms – Google, YouTube, Facebook, Instagram…  where can you reach customers?
  • Content Marketing – What kind of content can you produce or nurture that reflects your customer demand? How can you quickly and efficiently generate such content? Content marketing is essential to SEO, social media marketing, and even to advertising.
  • SEO (Search Engine Optimization) – SEO is the art and science of getting to the top of Google for free. SEO has aspects such as “On Page SEO,” “Off Page SEO,” “Content SEO,” and “Technical SEO.” We can dig into your keywords, website organization, external outreach (“link-building”) and even some of the newer technical issues. We can explore the potential use of AI and/or AI opportunities such as “Google AI overviews.”
  • Google Ads – Google Ads is driven by the match types such as exact, phrase, modified broad, and broad (as well as negative match) yet many advertisers do not understand them; this is a source of potential trouble. Google Ads is both easy and complicated! Working together, we can optimize your Google Ads strategy including Google Ads search network, Google Display Network, YouTube, and the newer AI opportunities such as PMax, AI groups, and CPA bidding.
  • Social Media – If social media is a “party,” you are the “party organizer.” We can work through a general social media marketing strategy (usually content marketing), as well as a platform-by-platform strategy (Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, YouTube, etc).
  • Metrics – Google analytics and beyond. Today everything is about metrics, including PPC (pay-per-click) advertising. Note that PPC is often called CPC (cost per click) advertising. I can help you define KPIs and then measure whether or not you are moving towards them!
