SEO is the art and science of getting a company to the top of Google. Guess what? It’s not easy, but it can be done. I know. I do it. There are also a range of tricks ranging from easy and non-controversial to controversial, so-called “Black Hat”, SEO tricks.
However, if you are a lawyer trying to make sense of SEO and need a search engine optimization expert witness, hire me, and I can guide you through the labyrinth. And a labyrinth it most certainly is.
Just to give you an idea, here are a few of the “everyday” terms used by Google and by SEO experts. We have crawling, black hat, white hat, de-indexing, 10 blue links, image carousels, KPI, intent, local pack, SERP features, algorithm, 2xx status codes, 4xx status codes, 5xx status codes, bots, backlinks, cloaking, crawl budget, manual penalty, RankBrain…………………

It Is Not Dissimilar To Learning A Foreign Language
SEO is not dissimilar to learning a foreign language – and not a fairly easy one like Spanish or Italian – but more like Mandarin or Russian.
All of which goes to show that if you are a lawyer trying to defend a claim, or a lawyer trying to prosecute one, you need a search engine optimization expert witness such as myself who understands what it all means.
What is even more important is that you need someone who not only understands what all this jargon means, but someone who can explain it in simple words of English to a judge and a jury so that THEY can understand what is going on. Otherwise, your client is going to be in for a very rough time.
Next, an SEO expert witness needs to have experience with trial and deposition. That means that he has been in front of a judge and/or jury before and is comfortable with explaining things in a court of law. Preferably, he will also be certified in a federal or state court as an SEO expert witness.
Moreover, an SEO expert witness needs to be able to explain how a website is built to be what is known as Google-friendly, and the importance of inserting keywords into places such as the title tag, meta description, and into the content itself. He also needs to be able to explain the use of what is known as off-page SEO such as the use of social media, link-building, and so on.
As you can see, for most people this is a whole new world. It is similar to a doctor or surgeon having to explain a complicated procedure to a court.
Fortunately, I do understand all this, and moreover I have a lot of experience of explaining it to those who do not understand it, so if you are in need of an SEO expert witness, I’m your man.
