It’s true. Finding an expert witness in online ads is not easy because being a good expert witness is not easy either. It’s not easy finding a good online expert witness, but Jason McDonald is one.

Apart from any other consideration, you have to have full knowledge of social media – Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, Reddit, LinkedIn, and all the rest of them. Plenty of people use social media but understanding all the ins and outs of these platforms, how they work, what rules they use, and so on, is a totally different kettle of fish.

Then you have to understand SEO. Quite a bit of my work is understanding SEO and being able to help my clients to get to the top of page 1 on Google. But you have to remember that Google is constantly changing its’ algorithms, so what worked last week may very well not work this. Today you can be top of page 1 and next week you might as well not exist if you can’t keep up with all the changes.

Then there are Google Ads, Facebook ads, and all the rest of the ads. You can very easily lose a fortune in online advertising unless you know exactly what you are doing. When Adwords started – Google Ads as it is today – you could get clicks for a few cents. Today, those clicks can very easily be $5.00, $10.00, and a whole lot more. Some clicks for the legal profession or insurance are well up into double figures. The most expensive keyword is insurance, for which the top quoted click has been $54.91. Loans – $44.28. Attorney – $47.07. (https://www.wordstream.com/articles/most-expensive-keywords). Per click! You really have to know what you are doing.

Being a good expert witness means that you also have to have a commitment to the truth.

More About a Good Expert Witness

But there is more. Being a good expert witness also means that you have to be able to not only understand all this jargon that is involved, but you then have to be able to translate that jargon into plain English so that people who don’t understand it all can make head or tail of it. People like judges, jurors, and other attorneys. Let’s face it: if the jurors cannot understand what happened, when, why, how, and so on, how can they possibly come to a decision?

Not only that, but a good expert witness also has to be pretty thick-skinned – nerves of steel. Because he or she has to stand up in a court of law and face the lawyers for the other side. And they only have one job to do. If that includes trying to demolish the witness, then that’s what happens.

The good news, if you need an expert witness? I tick all the right boxes! Give me a call or email me and let’s see how I can help you.
