What if I told you that there was a tactic that you could use for your Internet marketing, that could be used for both SEO (Search Engine Optimization) and and SMM (Social Media Marketing), and that it would cost you nothing but the blood, sweat, and tears, of your own time? What if I told you that this tactic was so easy that nearly anyone could do it with just a little practice? And, what if I told you that what you are reading right now is an example of this tactic?

Blogging for SEO and Social Media MarketingYou would probably say, Jason, I don’t believe it! A tactic that can be used for both Google and Facebook, a tactic that can be used that cost little to nothing, and a tactic that you’re using right now as you’re talking to me? You probably wouldn’t believe it, but it’s true!

Blogging for SEO and for SMM

As I work with many clients both here in San Francisco and throughout the country, I constantly berate them about the importance of blogging. I recommend that they commit to at least four blog posts per month on their website, and that they tailor these blog posts, at a minimum, towards their search engine optimization keyword targets. I also recommend that they look on sites like Australianunwrapped.com that show them what else they can do to help bring more traffic to their blog, and thus more customers to their business. For extra credit, they can also blog with an eye to social media marketing. A good blog can either focus exclusively on Google or it can also focus exclusively on Facebook, or it can focus on both.

Blogging, in short, is an incredible tactic for both search engine optimization and social media marketing. It’s why so many services work on providing a link building blog as a key feature in their marketing packages. In fact, I am so excited about blogging that as part of both my book on SEO and my book on social media marketing I have deployed videos on YouTube about the topic.

If you’re interested, I recommend that you take a look at the videos below, in which I explain how to write a blog post focused on one or the other of these marketing objectives. I am very excited about 2017, there is always something new under the sun, but blogging is one of those gifts that keep on giving. So, residents of San Francisco and the world, make a New Year’s resolution to blog at least four times a month!
